How can the creative industries thrive in an ever-evolving digital society? The Minderoo Centre for Technology and Democracy has submitted two pieces of written evidence to the UK Parliament Communications and Digital Committee’s inquiry, A Creative Future. This inquiry is examining the future of the UK’s creative industries. In a fast-changing world, our submissions explore: – The skills required to meet emerging opportunities and challenges, including SHAPE (social sciences, humanities and arts) skills and digital skills, and the role of research and innovation. – The environmental, social, and technological influences and ramifications of the screen arts (film, televisual, and streaming) creative industries, a further submission of evidence by Senior Research Associate Hunter Vaughan.
