Environmental consequences

Addressing the environmental consequences of digital technology

Using the resources of leading academic research, we want to expose the tremendous environmental impact of our increasing use of digital technology.

From data centre construction to mineral mining, planned obsolescence to the concept of ‘the cloud’, we are examining the environmental impact of our digital tech ecosystems to acquire and disseminate an informed, independent assessment of the planetary consequences of the tech industry’s continued rate of expansion.
