Two of our team have been selected for the 100 Brilliant Women in AI Ethics™ list – 2023. Louise Hickman, Research Associate, and Corinne Cath, Affiliate, have both been selected for the list. The list is published by Women in AI Ethics™ (WAIE), a global initiative with a mission to increase recognition, representation, and empowerment of women in AI Ethics. The initiative started with the first 100 Brilliant Women in AI Ethics™ list in 2018, which is now published annually to recognise rising stars as well as pioneers in this space. Responding to the announcement, Prof. Gina Neff, Executive Director of the Minderoo Centre for Technology and Democracy said: “I am thrilled that Louise and Corinne have been included in the 100 Brilliant Women in AI Ethics™ list 2023. “Both push the boundaries of AI ethics in their research and thoroughly deserve their place on this list of globally recognised leaders”.
