Signe Kossmann

Signe E Kossmann is an affiliate of the Minderoo Centre for Technology and Democracy.

Signe is a doctoral researcher working at the intersections of the sociology of security, political action, biopolitics and social theory to inform contemporary praxes. Her research is situated within human rights and humanitarian perspectives and also covers emerging technologies.

With the Minderoo Centre for Technology and Democracy, Signe is co-working with Dr Johannes Lenhard on an ESRC-funded project with the Digital Good Network and VentureESG on dual-use digital technologies.

Signe previously worked with the International Security Department at Chatham House and has been a consultant to the Centre for Information Resilience and Stockholm International Peace Research Institute. Her research has been cited by the UK Parliament Post and featured by the Council on Foreign Relations and Policy Commons.

Signe is also a Research Associate for the CCIP, the Secretariat of the All-Party Parliamentary Group for Climate and Security, and sits on Chatham House’s Panel of Young Advisors.
