Stefanie Felsberger

Stefanie Felsberger is a Research Associate within the newly-launched EU HORIZON consortium AI4Trust: AI-based-Technologies for Trustworthy Solutions Against Disinformation at the Minderoo Centre for Technology and Democracy.

Stefanie is a PhD candidate at the Centre for Gender Studies at Cambridge University. Her research asks how users of cycle tracking apps in Austria navigate the commodification of their menstrual data through a lens of Data Justice. Her research sits at the intersections between menstrual studies, medicine, data capitalism, gender and labour.

Stefanie previously worked as Bartlett Fellow at the Access to Knowledge for Development Center at the American University in Cairo. Her work looked at access and control of data, the political economy of data, and surveillance theory. Stefanie studied Political Science and Arabic Studies at the University of Vienna.
